Sleep well in Joensuu

Eastern Finland Sports Institute's hostel is an excellent place to stay in the middle of Joensuu. The hostel was completely renovated in 2009 and has 24 cosy and practical rooms.

The hostel has an excellent location close to the centre of the city. Accommodation is provided to lone travellers, families, and groups. ISLO often has special offers to sports clubs, which should be inquired about separately.

Finnhostel Joensuu belongs to Hostelling International Finland and Key Hostels networks. Our hostel has a four-star KeyHostel rating.

Apartment types:

One-bedroom apartments: one bedroom, kitchenette, bathroom, and balcony.

Two-bedroom apartments: two bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, and balcony.

The equipment in the kitchen/kitchenette includes a fridge, a coffee maker, an electric cooker, a microwave oven, and tableware. Each bedroom has two beds and a TV.

Accommodation prices including breakfast in 2012:

• a single room € 56 / night in a one-bedroom apartment

• a single room € 46 / night in a two-bedroom apartment, shared kitchen and bathroom

• a double room € 70 / night in a one- or two-bedroom apartment

• Extra bed € 28 / night

Holders of a Hostelling International Finland membership card receive a 10% discount per night.

Families with children

Family package: € 70 / night (2 adults and 2 children under 15). Accommodation in a one-bedroom apartment, with one bedroom, kitchenette, bathroom, and mattresses for the children to sleep on the floor. Breakfast is included.

Family package: € 100 / night (2 adults and 2 children under 15). Accommodation in a two-bedroom apartment, with two bedrooms, kitchen, and bathroom. Breakfast is included.

Meals

• Lunch/dinner on weekdays €8 (dinner: 20 persons minimum, by reservation only)

Training and conference arrangements

ISLO has three rooms that are suitable for seminars and lectures, all of which have the relevant AV equipment.

Excellent free parking for cars and busses. Some of the parking spaces have a power socket for warming up the engine in winter.
