SportEdu project

At the beginning of the project, a skills assessment was conducted, based on which training courses in service and learning design (14 hours) and online pedagogy (9 hours) were planned and implemented. In addition, distance and hybrid teaching practices were developed, utilizing a classroom designed for hybrid teaching.

During the project, benchmarking visits were made to various locations. Different facilities, equipment and practices were inspected for distance learning, digital communication, and the production of digital materials. An electronic needs assessment was carried out for sports clubs, and the information obtained was used in digital studio specification workshops. Based on this, a procurement and implementation plan for a digital studio suitable for a wide range of user groups was made. During the project, the possibilities of new technology were investigated for the implementation of the renewed sportedu.fi website, where the courses in the sports sector could be found in a consolidated format. The specification work was carried out in workshops to which representatives of various sports sector actors and technical experts were invited.

Six SportEdu network meetings were held during year 2023. The meetings planned the future of SportEdu activities and strengthened the network’s operations. The three meetings in the autumn increased the actors’ networking skills and planned to expand the network with national actors. The facilitator of the autumn meetings was Timo Järvensivu, an experienced networking expert.

As a result of the network work and the work of a separate development team, an operational development plan for the coming years was created. The development plan was used to make a plan for applying funding for the years 2024-2026.
