Joensuu Latu Saunapyhä tent sauna experience at Linnunlahti beach from 12:00 to 15:00

• 1 tent sauna can be found at Linnunlahti beach and the sauna is open from 12:00 to 15:00.
• In addition to bathing, you can wash yourself with cold water (from buckets) or in snowdrifts. Unfortunately, warm water and ice are not available.
• This is a mixed sauna, so please bring your own swimsuit, towel and wool socks/swimming slippers. We recommend bringing a water bottle.
• Changing your swimsuit can be done in the Linnunlahti beach’s own changing rooms.
• There is no reservation for the tent sauna, so please be aware of the possible queue.

Laulurinne is a four-hectare recreation area right next to the center of Joensuu, which is well known as the venue for Ilosaarirock. Every autumn, a two-kilometer-long snow track is snowed on Laulurinne, and later in the winter it serves as a junction for routes and an excellent starting point for starting cross-country skiing, even tens of kilometers away. There is a well-maintained network of tracks connecting to Laulurinne for a couple of hundred kilometers.

There is also a two-kilometer-long winter-maintained walking trail that goes around Laulurinne.

During the winter holiday weeks, Laulurinne turns into a winter playground, where you can ski, walk, learn how to control your skis, exercise and speed up on a polar sled. ISLO’s vocational degree in sports facilities students, in cooperation with the sports services of the City of Joensuu, are building a slalom course, hills and a small sledding hill at the front of Laulurinne.

The snow park conditions are in use when weather conditions permit!

You can rent skis for adults and children at the Holiday Linnunlahti reception for € 5/set (skis, boots, poles). Skis are maintained and lubricated by Hiihto-Kataja’s professional ski trainers. Ski rental is available during Holiday Linnunlahti’s opening hours:

• Mon–Fri at 9–12 and at 15–19
• Sat–Sun at 15–19

Hiihtomaa is an area intended for learning to ski, where everyone is welcome to do tricks and practice. Hiihtomaa is maintained by the Joensuu City Sports Services and ISLO in cooperation. Skiing is free of charge. In the Laulurinne Hiihtomaa you will find, among other things, hills, slalom, fast descents and other fun things for doing ski tricks and practicing basic skiing skills.

For the little ones in the family, there is also a sledding hill in the Snow Park. It’s not huge and wild, but it’s a decent sled for toddlers. PS: faster speeds are available at the Kirkkopuisto sledding hill, right near the Laulurinne slope.
