The strength test begins with a short initial assessment, based on which an expert will select 2–3 test movements for you based on your goals and exercise background. After the initial assessment, a short warm-up is performed so that the test movements can be performed safely and with the best possible performance.

The test is carried out using precise measuring devices, such as Vitruve and Vert force meters, a grip force meter or force plates. During the measurements, force production, maximum force and body force balance are assessed, among other things.

The test is safe to perform and proceeds under the guidance of an expert. Finally, you will receive clear feedback on your results and concrete recommendations for further progress. The test takes one hour to complete.

The test costs € 85.

Careful preparation ensures that the results of the strength test are reliable and that the test can be performed safely. Before the test, you will be asked to complete a background information form, which we will use to ensure the suitability and safety of the test.

General instructions before the test:

• Try to get a good night’s rest the night before the test.
• Avoid strenuous physical exertion on the day before the test.
• Come to the test in indoor exercise clothing and shoes; you may bring a water bottle and a small towel.
• If you are taking any medications that affect the function of the heart or circulatory system, write down their names on the background information form.
• Also mention any musculoskeletal disorders and any surgeries on the form. These factors may affect the selection of test movements and the performance of the test.

Two hours before the test:

• Avoid smoking, coffee and cola drinks, as they increase your heart rate and reduce the reliability of the test.
• Avoid heavy meals, as the test is uncomfortable to perform on a full stomach.

The test cannot be performed:

• If you have consumed alcohol or have hangover.
• If you have a flu, you are otherwise clearly ill, or you are in the early stages of recovery.
• If you are unusually tired, as the reliability of the test result will suffer.
• If your blood pressure is alarmingly high.
